The multi-function steering allows functions of the radio and cruise control to be operated from the steering wheel.
Before troubleshooting or servicing, technicians must be familiar with the functions and operation specifics of the applicable standard or optional radio system. Always read the owner's manual and review all multi-function steering wheel functions.
The multi-function steering wheel includes the following components:
- Operating unit with key pads and integrated electronics.
- A control module for the multi-function steering wheel.
- In diesel vehicles, a damper weight is installed in the multi-function steering wheel in order to prevent transmission of vibrations.
