Input Open

  1. Disconnect needle lift sensor 2-pin connector. Measure resistance between connector terminals. If about 80-120 ohms are not present, replace No. 3 cylinder injector with needle lift sensor. If about 80-120 ohms are present, go to next step.
  2. Connect Adapter (VAG 1598/18) to ECM wiring harness. Ensure continuity is present between needle lift sensor connector terminal No. 1 and adapter terminal No. 12, and between needle lift sensor connector terminal No. 2 and adapter terminal No. 11. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace DFI ECM.
