Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map) Sensor

MAP sensor is integrated into ECM. EGR volume is affected by MAP sensor, depending on altitude and ambient air pressure. MAP sensor provides ECM with a decreasing voltage signal with decreasing air pressure (increasing altitude). ECM adjusts EGR volume to ambient air pressure by reducing current to a vacuum transducer.
