DTC 00625: Vehicle Speed Signal

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Connect Adapter (VAG 1598/18) to ECM wiring harness. Turn ignition on. Connect jumper wire between adapter terminals No. 1 and 42. Measure voltage between adapter terminals No. 33 and 43.
  2. Raise front left wheel. Rotate wheel while observing voltage. If voltage fluctuates between 0-5 volts, system is okay. If voltage does not fluctuate between 0-5 volts, check wiring to speedometer or Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Repair as necessary.
