DTC 00761: Fault Stored In Engine Control Module

Code sets when engine control module is unable to reduce engine torque. Using scan tool, check DTCs in engine control module and repair as necessary. See TESTS W/CODES - INTRODUCTION article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
