Switching-off function, checking

• Disconnect voltage supply from Injection Start Positioner -N165-.
• Connect VAG 1527B voltage tester to open connector.
• Start engine and raise engine speed to approx. 3000 RPM.
  • Tester LED must light up

If NOT:

• Locate and repair wiring faults using wiring diagram.
• Replace Automatic Glow Time Control Module - J179- if necessary.
