Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutches: Description

Clutch is a single dry disc type, which uses a diaphragm spring-type pressure plate. Clutch is hydraulically operated. Clutch master cylinder is mounted in the clutch pedal bracket housing. On transmission 02B, slave cylinder is mounted to transmission housing. On transmission 02G, slave cylinder is mounted on throw-out arms. Servicing of clutch requires removal of transmission.
