Data Link Connector: Description and Operation

The Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) serves as the interface between the Motronic Control Module and the diagnostic equipment used for retrieving fault code information. Starting in 1994 the DLC is a standard 16 pin OBD-1 connector that can be with many different scan tools.
