Shift Lever Position Signal

A Shift Lever Position Signal is provided to the Motronic control module, the signal is directional IN only (PIN 7 - INPUT ONLY).

The shift lever position signal comes from the automatic transmission TCM. Idle speed is reduced after selection of a driving range in order to reduce the vehicle's tendency to creep.
