Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

Airbag Control Module Location:

^ Disconnect the battery ground (GND) cable before removing the Airbag Control Module (J234).

^ Remove center console.

^ Remove footwell air outlet.

^ If necessary, make a cut in the carpeting and soundproofing mats in the area of the Airbag Control Module -1-.

^ Remove nuts -4- from studs and remove Airbag Control Module -1- with mounting bracket.

^ Install in reverse order of removal.

^ Tightening torque (nuts -4-): 20 Nm (15 ft lbs)
