NOTE:

CONDITION
Incorrect adjustment of the front hood alarm switch may:
- Inadvertently activate the alarm system.
- Also, under this condition, setting the alarm is not possible.
NOTE:
This condition may be improperly diagnosed causing unnecessary Alarm System Control Module replacements. This condition may be more prominent with extreme outside temperatures. At regular ambient temperatures the adjustment is OK.
Approximately 90% of Alarm System Control Modules replaced under warranty are NOT malfunctioning.
SERVICE
If alarm system is malfunctioning:
- Check system according to troubleshooting information outlined in Repair Group 90 of the respective repair Manual.
- Check adjustment of front hood alarm switch and adjust as necessary by bending switch bracket.
