Final Drive

Oil level in the final drive is checked with transmission installed. Remove speedometer drive shaft from transmission and clean. Install speedometer drive shaft into transmission. Remove speedometer drive shaft and check oil level on shaft. Oil level must be between bottom edge of shaft (Min.) and next higher edge (Max.) marks on shaft. The amount of oil between the Min. and Max. marks on the speedometer drive is 0.1 qt (0.1L).
