Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

Multifunction Switch:





Multifunction Switch F125

is located on the gearbox housing is operated by the selector lever and has the following functions:

The automatic transmission selector lever position is monitored by the ECM control unit. When the selector lever is in a position other than park or neutral, the ECM control unit changes the output signal to the idle stabilizer valve to compensate for the additional load placed on the engine.

^ Transmitting the selector lever position to the Digimat control unit

^ Switching on the reversing lights

^ Blocking the starter when a driving range is engaged

^ Providing information about the switching on and off of the cruise control system
