Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C Thermostat E33, Removing/Installing





- remove thermostat cover securing screw 6 and remove cover 2
- remove thermostat mounting screw 5
- disconnect wire connector
- remove thermostat 1 by pulling sensing tube from grommet 3

CAUTION: DO NOT bend sensing tube. A damaged sensing tube will cause the thermostat to malfunction.





- install in reverse order of removal noting the following:
- measure insertion depth of sensing tube and mark with tape 4
- must be 330 mm (13.0 in.)
- insert sensing tube into evaporator housing up to tape 4
- sensing tube must be inserted into guide channel (arrow) of evaporator
