D. Check engine manifold vacuum

NOTE:
Engine Manifold vacuum must be checked at the
- gray line disconnected from the EGR vacuum
- amplifier *

- Connect engine tester VAG 1367 for RPM indication.
- Remove gray line from EGR vacuum amplifier and attach





vacuum pump to gray line. Start engine and let idle.
- Read gauge on pump.
^ must be 15 - 18 in.HG*
^ If NOT check hoses, vacuum lines and T - pieces for leaks and ensure that the hoses are not kinked.*
