Led Test Light On-Board Diagnostics

  1. Test drive vehicle.
    NOTE: During test drive, engine speed should exceed 3000 RPM and accelerator should be fully depressed at least once. Allow engine to reach normal operating temperature.
  2. After test drive, allow engine to idle for at least two minutes. If engine will not start for test drive, crank engine with starter for at least six seconds.
  3. Switch off ignition. Connect LED test light to positive terminals of Black and Blue diagnostic connectors.
  4. Fault code is displayed by flashing LED. Connect jumper wire between negative terminals of Black and White diagnostic connectors under shift boot in center console for at least four seconds then remove it. LED will flash four digit code. To display next code, reconnect jumper wire for another four seconds. Repeat until all codes are displayed.
    NOTE: Each sequence of flashes indicates one digit of the fault code. (Ex. two flashes, pause, three flashes, pause, one flash, pause, one flash, then a pause indicates code 2-3-1-1) See TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table.
  5. After all codes are displayed, connect jumper again to clear codes.
