I. Check/replace Transmission Control Module (TCM)








- Connect Engine Scan Tool VAG-1551 and check Part No. of installed TCM. Turn ignition OFF. Also visually check TCM for color dot.

Note
Transmission Control Module (TCM) must be removed to visually identify the unit.

- with ignition switched ON, fully depress accelerator one time.

Note
Since tester printouts tend to fade, make a photocopy of the printout and attach to repair order hard copy for future reference. Identify removed Transmission Control Modules (TCM) with a completely filled out Warranty parts tag and return TCM to your Parts Department for shipment to VWoA Warranty Parts Test Center.
