Idle Stabilization Control Unit

The idle stabilization control unit is located in front of the right-hand taillight assembly. If engine idle speed differs from the value stored in the idle stabilization control unit, the idle stabilizer valve will be signaled to adjust the volume of air entering the engine at idle. See Figure .

The idle stabilization control unit receives information from the following:

• Throttle switch
• Coolant temperature sensor
• A/C compressor clutch switch
• Ignition coil terminal No. 1
• Power steering pressure switch
