ISSUE & TIP

Be very careful when selecting oil pressure sending switches for 1987 Volkswagen Vanagons. The switches are color-coded (white, gray, brown and blue) as well as pressure rated. Check the pressure rating located on the bottom of the switch, instead of referring to the part number. Installing the wrong switch will result in an improper oil pressure warning lamp and warning buzzer operation.
