Thermo Time Switch

- Check thermo time switch at connector on cold start valve when engine coolant temperature is less than 86°F (30°C). Disconnect and ground high tension lead at distributor cap end.
- Disconnect connector from cold start valve. Connect test light across 2 terminals of cold start connector. Crank starter motor for 10 seconds. Test light must light up for 1-8 seconds, depending upon temperature. Thermo time switch cut-off temperature rating is stamped on switch.
