Idle Speed

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature (oil temperature of 122-158°F or 50-70°C). Connect tachometer (VW 1367 or Siemens 451) according to instructions. Adjust idle speed to specifications.
  2. To adjust, loosen lock nut and turn screw in to raise idle speed, or out to lower idle speed. Retighten lock nut and seal with paint.
