Tune-Up - 4-CYL: Adjustments: Distributor
All models use Bosch electronic breakerless ignition systems with a Hall Effect distributor. No adjustments are required.
On 16-valve engines distributor rotor is glued to distributor shaft. If removal is necessary, destroy rotor by crushing with a pair of pliers. When installing new rotor, apply a high temperature adhesive.
NOTE:
DO NOT hit or strike rotor as damage to distributor shaft or bearing may result.
