Ignition Timing

  1. Make sure engine oil temperature is at least 140°F (60°C). On all models, leave distributor vacuum hoses are connected. Attach timing light to engine. Check and adjust idle speed.
  2. Check timing is set to specifications. If not, adjust by turning distributor. Remove test equipment.
