Draining & Refilling

  1. Remove transaxle protection plate. Remove rear pan bolts and loosen front pan bolts. Drain as much fluid as possible. Remove oil pan and finish draining fluid. Remove oil pan Remove filter.
  2. Clean oil pan in solvent and blow dry with compressed air. Install new filter and tighten screws to 27 INCH lbs. (3N.m). Install oil pan, using a new gasket.
  3. Tighten oil pan mounting bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m). Install protection plate, tighten bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m). Add 3.2 qts. (3.0L) of fluid. Warm engine to a normal operation temperature and check fluid level.
