Fast Idle

  1. On all models, engine must be warmed up and choke must be warmed up and choke must be fully open. Ignition timing, idle speed and idle mixture must be correct.
  2. Set fast idle lever screw against 2nd cam step with engine idling. Disconnect electrical connector to purge valve. Check that fast idle speed is 2600-3000 RPM. Adjust fast idle screw if necessary. Reconnect wiring to purge valve.
