Throttle Cable: Quantum

  1. Loosen lock nuts on cylinder head cover. Pull sleeve of throttle cable until resistance is felt. Turn adjustment nut against bracket and lock using second nut.
  2. Attach 2 nuts to a M8 X 153 mm molt so that distamce between bolt head and outer nut is 4 7/8" (124 mm). Remove accelerator pedal stop and install bolt in place of pedal stop. Bolt head must rest on plate, not rod. Adjust throttle cable at transmission adjustment nut.
  3. Install pedal stop. Depress accelerator pedal until resistance is felt at full throttle position (no kickdown), throttle lever must contact stop. Depress accelerator pedal to full throttle stop. Linkage spring must be compressed and operating lever on transmission must contact stop (kickdown).
