Fuel Cut Solenoid

If fuel cut-off solenoid valve fails, engine will not shut off with key. Before replacing fuel cut-off solenoid, it should be removed from the injection pump and cleaned. See Fig 1 .

When the solenoid and plunger are clean, the plunger must be checked for free movement in solenoid. Install solenoid in pump with a new seal. Test for proper solenoid operation by connecting to and disconnecting from battery voltage.

A manual fuel cut-off has been added to the injection pump. If the engine continues to run after key is turned off, move lever in direction of arrow. See Fig 2 or Fig 3 .
