Testing Precautions

Check stall speed only if vehicle shows poor performance or acceleration. When making test, DO NOT  hold throttle open any longer than the time it takes to read tachometer. Maximum stall speed test time is 20 seconds. If engine speed exceeds limits shown in STALL SPEED SPECIFICATIONS  table, release accelerator immediately as clutch or band slippage is indicated.
