Hydraulic Pressure Test

  1. Connect 0-150 psi (0-10 kg/cm2 ) pressure gauge to main pressure test point on case (adjacent to servo cover). With transmission at normal operating temperature, place selector lever in "D". Run engine to 35 MPH, release throttle and read pressure on gauge. See Fig 1 .
  2. Run engine at full throttle, with vehicle speed above 25 MPH. Note pressure with transmission in "D". With vehicle at rest, place selector lever in "R" position. Note reading on pressure gauge. See Fig 1 .
  3. Pressures in each part of test should be as shown in Fig 2 chart. If pressures obtained DO NOT  match those shown in chart, refer to INCORRECT OPERATING PRESSURES  in TROUBLE SHOOTING  section.
