Ignition Lock: Service and Repair

STEERING LOCK HOUSING, REMOVING




- remove steering wheel
- remove screws (arrows) and take off switches
- detach switch unit from steering column
- disconnect multi-point connector
- when installing push multi-point connector onto pins until stop
- gap between steering wheel and steering column switch is not adjustable




- turn washer (arrow) with waterpump pliers and pull off




- remove socket head bolt (arrow)
- detach steering lock with upper trim from steering column

Note: Secure column so that it does not slip out of flange tube bushings
