Catalytic Converters: Maintenance

The requirement to replace the catalytic converter at 30, 000 mile intervals no longer exists. However, some early models may still have the reminder light connected.

This light may be disabled as follows: Locate multi-pin wiring plug on maintenance reminder sensor. DO NOT confuse catalytic converter sensor with EGR sensor. Cut Yellow/Red wire to multi-pin plug and insulate cut end of wire.
