Removal & Installation: Removal

Disconnect battery. Remove steering wheel. Turn ignition key to "ON" position. Remove screws holding the signal switch cover. Remove cover plate under pedals. Bend lock plate clear and remove bolt from coupling flange on steering spindle. Remove steering gear. See appropriate article under STEERING GEARS & LINKAGE in this section.  Take steering column out and downward from vehicle.
