Removal [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR (for Hatchback) 
    1. Remove the following parts:
      1. Rear package tray

        Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

      2. Trunk covering

        Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

      3. Trunk board

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      4. Trunk end trim

        Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

      5. Rear scuff plate

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      6. Rear seat cushion

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      7. Rear center seat belt lower anchor installation bolt

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

      8. Rear seat back

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      9. Trunk side trim

        Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

    2. Disconnect the rear speed sensor connector.

      *a LH *b Connector
      *c Clip *d RH
      *e Rear Speed Sensor Wiring Harness - -
    3. Detach the rear speed sensor wiring harness from the clip.
    4. Press the rear speed sensor tab and press out the sensor toward the outside of the vehicle.

      *a Rear Speed Sensor
      *b Tab
    5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
    6. Remove the clip.

      *1 Bolt *2 Rear Speed Sensor
      *a Remove Clip While Pressing Arrow Indication. *b Body
      *c Clip - -
      Tightening torque for "Major areas involving basic vehicle performance such as moving/turning/stopping" : N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf) - -
    7. Remove the bolt.
    8. Remove the rear speed sensor.
  2. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR (for Sedan) 
    1. Remove the following parts:
      1. Rear scuff plate

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      2. Rear seat cushion

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      3. Tire house trim

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

    2. Remove the rear speed sensor connector.

      *a LH *b Connector
      *c Clip *d RH
      *e Rear Speed Sensor Wiring Harness - -
    3. Detach the rear speed sensor wiring harness from the clip.
    4. Press the rear speed sensor tab and press out the sensor toward the outside of the vehicle.

    5. Remove the clip.

    6. Remove the bolt.
    7. Remove the rear speed sensor.
