July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2015 - 06/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [06/2017 - ] ).
    • If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
  2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2015 - 06/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2017 - ] ).

  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ] ).

  5. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Push the locks on the 2 levers, then raise the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.

      NOTE:

      After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.

    2. Remove the bolt and nut.

    3. Remove the ECM.
    4. Remove the nut.

    5. Remove the 4 screws, ECM cover and No. 2 ECM bracket.
