Room Light: Inspection: Inspection

- INSPECT NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Terminal E - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, repair or replace harness or connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Terminal B - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the harness or connector.
- Remove the wire harness from the room light assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Terminal E - Light Busbar Light switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher Light switch ON Below 1 Ω Terminal CTY - Light Busbar Light switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher Light switch in DOOR Below 1 Ω Terminal B - Bulb Terminal Always Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch base.
- Connect a (+) lead from the battery to terminal B and a (-) lead to light busbar.
- Check that the light comes on.
OK
The light comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
