Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the C20 ECM connector.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Measure the voltage.

   Standard voltage 

   ECM-BATTERY
   
   

   Tester Connection	Clutch Pedal Condition	Specified Condition
   D (C20-56) - Body ground	Depressed	Below 1 V
   D (C20-56) - Body ground	Released	10 to 14 V

4. Reconnect the ECM connector.

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Disconnect the clutch switch connector.

2. Measure the resistance.

   Standard resistance 

   CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY
   
   

   Tester Connection	Clutch Pedal Condition	Specified Condition
   1-2	Switch pin free (Clutch pedal depressed)	10 kΩ or higher
   1-2	Switch pin pushed in (Clutch pedal released)	Below 1 Ω

3. Reconnect the clutch switch connector.

NG: REPLACE CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Disconnect the C20 ECM connector.
2. Disconnect the A29 clutch switch connector.

3. Measure the resistance.

   Standard resistance 

   CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY - ECM
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   A29-2 - D (C20-56)	Below 1 Ω
   A29-2 - D (C20-56) - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

4. Reconnect the clutch switch connector.
5. Reconnect the ECM connector.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY - ECM) 

OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)
