DTC U1002 Lost Communication with Gateway Module: Description

If 2 or more DTCs are output during the DTC check, one side of the CAN branch wire may be open. (One side of the CANH [branch wire]/CANL [branch wire] of the ECU and/or sensor is open.)

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
U1002 Main body ECU cannot receive signals from all ECUs that have been memorized as those connected to the CAN MS bus.
  • MS bus circuit
  • Power seat control ECU branch wire or connector
  • Multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU branch wire or connector
  • Outer mirror control ECU branch wire or connector
  • Power back door ECU branch wire or connector*1
  • Combination meter ECU main wire or connector
  • Main body ECU main wire or connector
  • Power seat control ECU
  • Multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU
  • Outer mirror control ECU
  • Combination meter ECU
  • Main body ECU
  • Power back door ECU*1
  • No. 3 junction connector
  • No. 4 junction connector*1
