Steering Pad Switch: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER 
  3. REMOVE NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER 
  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and pull out the steering pad switch.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the steering pad switch.

  6. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH RH 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and pull out the steering pad switch.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the steering pad switch.
