Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (GATEWAY ECU BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the G1 gateway ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION - SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G1-17 (CA1H) - G1-18 (CA1L) Power switch OFF 54 to 69 Ω

    NG : REPLACE GATEWAY ECU BRANCH WIRE AND CONNECTOR (CA1H, CA1L) 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (GATEWAY ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION - SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      G1-24 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION - SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G1-10 (BATT) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      G1-2 (ACC) - Body ground Power switch ON (ACC) 10 to 14 V
      G1-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch ON (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK : REPLACE GATEWAY ECU
