Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CASSETTE TAPE PLAYER 
    1. Is cassette tape player operating normally?
    • OK: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    • NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. INSPECT FUSE (ACC, AMP) 
    1. Remove the ACC fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.
    2. Remove the AMP fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.
    3. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    • NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO AMPLIFIER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    • NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO AMPLIFIER - SPEAKER) 
    • NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  5. REPLACE SPEAKER 
    1. Temporarily install another speaker. Functions OK?
    • OK: SPEAKER FAULTY 
    • NG: REPLACE STEREO AMPLIFIER
