Inspection Procedure

- CHECK FUSE (ECU-B)
- Remove the fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
- Check the resistance of the fuse.
Standard: Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPLACE FUSE
- CHECK TVIP ECU
- Disconnect the TVIP ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage between the terminals of the ECU connector, as shown in the illustration and table.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition +B1 (T3-2) - E (T3-29) 10 to 14 V E (T3-29) - Body ground 0 V - NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the TVIP ECU connector.
- Check the connector on the harness side, as shown in the illustration and table.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition E (T3-29) - Body ground Below 1Ω - NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
