Engine Control System (3MZ-FE): ECM: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Coupe) (See step 2 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Convertible) (See step 2 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Coupe) (See step 4 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Convertible) (See step 4 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See step 33 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL RH (See step 25 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  8. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
    2. Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.
    3. Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.

  9. REMOVE ECM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.

  10. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO. 2 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
