Inspection Procedure

Check ECU-IG, PWR NO.1 and ECU-B fuses.
CHECK:

Check continuity of ECU-IG, PWR NO.1 and ECU-B fuses.

OK:
1. Continuity
1. NG: Replace failure fuse.
2. OK: Go To Next Step
Check voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB, SIG and GND of driver door ECU connector.
PREPARATION:

Turn the ignition switch ON.

CHECK:

Measure voltage between terminals SIG and GND.

OK:
1. Voltage: 10 to 14 V
PREPARATION:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the driver door ECU connector.
CHECK:

Measure the voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB and GND.

OK:
1. Voltage: 10 to 14 V
1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
2. NG: Go to Next step.
Check wire harness and connector between ECU and body ground (see HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
