Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Toyota Prius. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY ECU - IGN FUSE) 
  1. Disconnect the B11 battery ECU connector.
  2. Remove the IGN fuse from the driver side J/B.
  3. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard (Check for open): 

    RESISTANCE CHECK

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    IG2 (B11-13) - IGN fuse (2) Below1 Ω

    Standard (Check for short): 

    RESISTANCE CHECK

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    IG2 (B11-13) or IGN fuse (2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NOTE: When taking a measurement with a tester, do not apply excessive force to the tester probe to avoid damaging the holder.
  4. Reinstall the IGN fuse.
  5. Reconnect the battery ECU connector.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
