Sliding Roof System

Turn ignition switch to ON position. Push and hold TILT UP switch until roof glass tilts up fully. Release switch. If battery cable is disconnected, sliding roof control Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may not detect position of roof glass. If sliding roof AUTO operation is still disabled even after sliding roof drive gear has been initialized, hall IC may be malfunctioning. Hall IC is built into sliding roof drive gear and detects roof glass position. If sliding roof does not work properly, drive gear assembly (sliding roof control ECU) may have to be replaced.
