Fuel Rail: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold, (Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD ).
  3. If the injector connectors are not tagged with their cylinder number, tag them to identify the correct cylinder.
  4. Disconnect the fuel supply line from the fuel rail (Fig 1).

  5. Remove the 4 mounting bolts from the fuel rail (Fig 2).

  6. Lift fuel rail straight up off of cylinder head.
  7. Remove retaining clips from fuel injectors at fuel rail.
  8. Remove fuel injector from fuel rail.
