Section 925 (Hood): Overhaul

HINT:

The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.

REMOVE HOOD MOULDING ASSY FRONT (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE HOOD INSULATOR
1. Using a clip remover, remove the 13 clips and insulator.
  HINT:
  
  If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
REMOVE HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
1. Using a clip remover, remove the 10 clips and seal.
  HINT:
  
  If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT ASSY RH (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSY
1. Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the cover.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. Remove the 3 bolts and lock.
3. Disconnect the connector and cable.

REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSY
1. Remove the cable, as shown in Fig 3 .

REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSY
1. Remove the 2 screws and lever.
2. Disengage the cable from the lever.
INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSY
1. Install the lock with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
2. Adjust the hood lock (see ADJUSTMENT ).

3. Install the cover.
