Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CLOCK ASSY (IG, TAU) 
    1. Check signal waveform (TAU signal).
      1. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminals 1 (GND) and 7 (TAU) of clock assy connector.
      2. Start engine.
      3. Check the signal waveform.
      WAVEFORM REFERENCE

      Tool setting 10 V/DIV, 100 ms/DV

    2. Check voltage (IG signal).
      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      2. Measure the voltage between terminal 20 (IG) of clock assy and body ground.

      Standard voltage: 10 - 14 V 

      Result: 

      RESULT

      A TAU signal: NG
      B IG signal: NG
      C OK

    1. A: GO TO FUEL SYSTEM 
    2. B: Go to step   2 
    3. C: CHECK AND REPLACE CLOCK ASSY 
  2. INSPECT FUSE (GAUGE 1) 
    1. Check that continuity exists of GAUGE 1 fuse.
    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
