Inspection Procedure

Check voltage between terminals IG and GND of A/C control assembly connector.
1. PREPARATION:
  1. Remove A/C control assembly with connectors still connected, see AIR CONDITIONING .
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON.
1. CHECK:
2. Measure voltage between terminals IG and GND of A/C control assembly.

1. OK:
2. Voltage : 10 - 14 V
1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table, see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
2. NG: Go to next step.
Check continuity between terminal GND of A/C control assembly and body ground.
1. PREPARATION:
2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK.
1. CHECK:
2. Measure resistance between terminal GND of A/C control assembly and body ground.
1. OK:
2. Resistance : Below 1 ohm
1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
2. OK: Go to next step.

Check GAUGE fuse.
1. PREPARATION:
2. Remove GAUGE fuse from No. 1 J/B.

1. CHECK:
2. Check continuity of GAUGE fuse.
1. OK:
2. Continuity exists.
1. NG: Check for shot in all the harness and components connected to the GAUGE fuse, see INTRODUCTION .
2. OK: Check and repair harness and connector between A/C control assembly and battery.
