Ignition Main Relay
- Locate engine compartment relay box No. 2, positioned on firewall, and remove Ignition Main relay (IGN). Verify continuity between main relay terminals No. 1 and 3, and between terminals No. 2 and 4. Verify no continuity between terminals No. 4 and 5. See Fig 1 (STEP 1). Replace ignition main relay if continuity is not as specified.
- If relay continuity is as specified, apply 12 volts between terminals No. 1 and 3. Verify continuity exists between terminals No. 4 and 5. Verify no continuity between terminals No. 2 and 4. See Fig 1 (STEP 2). Replace relay if it does not test as indicated.
