July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Ignition Main Relay

  1. Locate engine compartment relay box No. 2, positioned on firewall, and remove Ignition Main relay (IGN). Verify continuity between main relay terminals No. 1 and 3, and between terminals No. 2 and 4. Verify no continuity between terminals No. 4 and 5. See Fig 1 (STEP 1). Replace ignition main relay if continuity is not as specified.
  2. If relay continuity is as specified, apply 12 volts between terminals No. 1 and 3. Verify continuity exists between terminals No. 4 and 5. Verify no continuity between terminals No. 2 and 4. See Fig 1 (STEP 2). Replace relay if it does not test as indicated.
